What is terrazzo?
- Terrazzo is a composite material made with marble, granite, glass, or quartz chips set into a cement binder. Secoin terrazzo is precast and produced under 800 tons of pressure, resulting in exceptional strength and durability.
Is terrazzo eco-friendly?
- Yes. Over 70% of the materials used in terrazzo are recycled. Secoin terrazzo contains no VOCs, is non-flammable, and emits no toxic substances.
Why is terrazzo so durable?
- Terrazzo is made from rigid materials embedded in cement, making it highly resistant to chipping and cracking, even in high-traffic areas.
How long does terrazzo last?
- Properly maintained terrazzo can last the entire lifespan of a building—often over 100 years.
Can terrazzo be recycled?
- Yes. Terrazzo can be crushed and reused as aggregate in new materials.
Design
Can you make custom designs?
- Yes. We offer custom terrazzo solutions starting from just 30m². You can choose the color, aggregates, thickness, finish, and even patterns.
What is the largest format available?
- Secoin offers terrazzo tiles up to 1200x600mm, which can also be cut into 600x600mm, 600x300mm or 300x300mm sizes.
What is the standard thickness?
- Thickness ranges from 16 to 20mm depending on tile size.
Is Secoin terrazzo poured in place?
- No. Secoin terrazzo is precast and made with a cement binder – we do not use resin or epoxy.

Does terrazzo need sealing?
- Yes. Use a quality sealer to protect the surface from stains and moisture.
How to clean terrazzo floors?
- Always use pH-neutral cleaners. Avoid acidic substances like vinegar.
Is terrazzo acid-sensitive?
- Yes. Marble chips in terrazzo are calcium-based and can etch with acid exposure. Avoid acidic cleaners.
Orders & Production
What is the minimum order quantity?
- Minimums vary by product. We recommend adding 10% for wastage during transport or natural variation.
How to request a quote for custom terrazzo?
- Please send tile dimensions, preferred colors, finish, and design elements. Include drawings or references for best accuracy.
Can production be expedited?
- Yes, depending on factory capacity and order complexity. Extra fees may apply.
Packing & Delivery
How is terrazzo packed?
- Tiles are packed face to face on pallets, with foam layers between to protect surfaces.
How many SQM per pallet?
- 1200x600x20mm: 30 pcs = 21.6 sqm/pallet; 600x600x20mm: 48 pcs = 17.28 sqm/pallet.
Can pallets be double stacked?
- Yes. We recommend double stacking in containers or warehouses to save space and prevent breakage.
